During the series, Ballantine also issued two Lovecraft titles, one which they had previously published.  These books are not part of the series proper, but are certainly of associated interest.  The Survivor and Others is bylined as by H.P. Lovecraft and August Derleth, but the stories are completely by Derleth.

The three Titus novels all predate the Ballantine Adult Fantasy series, but with the Fourth Printing September 1973 and the Fifth Printing January 1974, the unicorn's head logo appeared on the front covers.

Merlin's Ring was published after the official end of the Ballantine Adult Fantasy series, but clearly it was intended to be a part of it, as the Lin Carter introduction indicates.

The Worm Ouroboros, seventh printing September 1973, cover art by Barbara Remington:

The first printing of The Worm Ouroboros, April 1967, preceded the Ballantine Adult Fantasy series. Only the seventh printing (above), out of twelve printings between 1967 and 1981, has the unicorn's head on the cover.

Three of Eddison's other novels also preceded the Ballantine Adult Fantasy series, but are sometimes considered a part of it. The final novel, The Mezentian Gate, appeared the month before the official start of the Ballantine Adult Fantasy series, and it is labelled by the publisher "A Ballantine Adult Fantasy" in a line running up the top left of the front cover.
